Teaneck, New Jersey native Amatullah'Muhyi - who goes by Muhyi - is a filmmaker, actress, and show tune enthusiast. Muhyi received her BFA in filmmaking in 2017 and her MFA from Howard University in 2023.
After graduation Muhyi traveled with her award-winning film Undefined: A Muslim-American Musical, currently available on Amazon Prime, and co-founded AfroTwin Productions. With AfroTwin Productions, Muhyi has been able to travel across the world and connect with filmmakers and creators across all backgrounds.
With AfroTwin Productions, Muhyi looks forward to sharing stories, connecting creatives, and creating a sense of familiarity through the power of media.
Talisa Velez
Director of Logistics & Media
Talisa is a Puerto Rican filmmaker, podcaster, small biz owner, writer and overall lover of all things rom-com and fantasy. Outside of producing and hosting her podcast, Cojelo Con Take It Easy, she enjoys helping colleagues crowdfund and increase their brand awareness for their own projects. Which is her favorite part of her partnership with Muhyi and AfroTwin Productions as a whole.
With AfroTwin Productions, Talisa is excited to expand and help share familial tales with the community. Talisa's other credits include director of Abuela, producer for Dead Plan(t)s and script supervisor for En La Familia.
She is a graduate of Montclair State University's Filmmaking program and you can find her taste testing the latest boba flavors in her free time.
